Farm Credit associations are mandated by law to track their loans to young, beginning and small (YBS) farmers. Farm Credit associations are also allowed to set their own goals on how many loans they extend to YBS farmers.

They aren’t meeting their own lending goals.

If you took a test that you created, shouldn’t you be getting a perfect score every time? Not so for Farm Credit. If Farm Credit associations aren’t even meeting their own goals on loans to YBS farmers, then how many YBS farmers are they leaving behind?
